4 Realities of Joseph’s Situation

1. JOSEPH COULDN’T DIRECT HIS CHANGES.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
      understanding” Proverbs 3:5

2. JOSEPH DIDN’T DESERVE HIS CHANGES.
“‘For I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and
even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a
     dungeon.’” Genesis 39:15

“But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing
wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you
endure it, this is commendable before God.” 1 Peter 2:20

3. JOSEPH WOULDN’T DISRESPECT HIS CHANGES.
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy
of the calling you have received.” Ephesians 4:1

Joseph’s Actions Were Reviewed By Others. 39:2-4

Joseph’s Actions Were Reinforced To Others. 39:8-10

Joseph’s Actions Were Remembered By Others. 41:9-14

4. JOSEPH COULDN’T DISCOUNT HIS CHANGES.
“But Joseph said to them, ‘Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of
God?  You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to
accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.  So
then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.’
And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.” Gen. 50:19-21

“The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered…” 39:2a

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those
who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
